City Arts and Letters

You will earn a Master’s Degree in the humanities by walking in the city.  My notebook is my camera and I take copious notes.  I sense the energy in the city and the dramas and the dynamics mobilizing human endeavor.  I record the colors of the city and the words that urbanize one’s experience of time, space and place.

Colors and shapes leave impressions.  Sights, smells and sounds remain embedded in the synapses of grey matter tissue.  Faces and fabrics are preserved faithfully in the recall mechanisms that fill the body with sensations, itches and tingles.

To walk in the city is to self-educate your self.  So, wake up and do it.
