Even the night time sky contains light. Even if the Tule Fog hovers thick and dense there is light, light diffused. Even in the void of darkest space the orbiting telescoping cameras pick up intense color from light years away. Even during the deepest sleep some dream in technicolor.
So when I focus on mostly black and white I like the surprise of color added.
